Bal Raksha Bharat's video: Save the Children Sets Up Cyber Safety Hubs in Tamil Nadu Schools

During the pandemic-induced lockdown, the not-so tech savvy community had to migrate online to access basis services. This sudden shift also exposed them to the perils of the cyber world. Save the Children created cyber safety clubs in 25 schools in Thiruvalluvar district of Tamil Nadu to counter cyber-crimes and promote online safety. The children in these groups are made aware and empowered with knowledge about online safety and cyber-crimes through in-class modules, wall paintings etc. These club members then share their learnings with the community, parents and peers to help them navigate online space safely. They also track children's behavioural patterns and activities online and any vulnerable child is given proper counselling. With the right knowledge and training, these children have become agents of change.
