SVISTOONOFF Nicolas (1945-2014) Uno de los exponentes del arte ecuatoriano, Nicolás Svistoonoff ,fue ecuatoriano por adopción, pues nació en Shanghái en 1945, a pesar de que sus padres eran rusos. Llegó a Ecuador en la década del 50. Hizo sus estudios en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Guayaquil y en la de San Fernando de Madrid. A los 19 años realizó su primera exposición individual en la Casa de la Cultura de Guayaquil.
