Savvy Organics Farm's video: Putting Colored Bands On Chickens Legs In The Dark

If you need to do anything with your chickens, doing it at night makes it so much easier. We are adding colored bands to each chicken to separate them by age on Savvy Organics Farm. After we sort the chickens by age, we will be mixing them up so we can get specific breeds of chickens to raise on our homestead. We have a new chicken incubator so we will be hatching our own chicks to replace any that are lost due to predators or age. Being able to hatch your own chicks on your homestead brings you another step closer to being self-sufficient.
