https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N222LXA SOAIY Aurora Projection Lamp and Sound Machine is truly relaxing and great for people with sensory needs! First of all, this is my second Soaiy Aurora lamp. I have the first generation in my daughter's room that is still working without issue every single night for over a year, so far. This projection lamp is very similar, but has Bluetooth capability, programmed sounds, a dimmer and you are able to set a time limit. The lamp is powered by a micro USB plug that is included with a wall outlet adapter. The micro USB is very long and I don't need an extension cord when placed on my son's chest of drawers. This lamp has three buttons on the front of the speaker for volume, power on/off, as well as, changing the light patterns. The remote control is how you fully operate the lamp. When you power on the lamp it automatically goes in to Bluetooth mode. There is a voice that announces, "The Bluetooth is ready to pair", followed by a little chime to indicate it is connected. I do wish there wasn't a voice, because when setting it up for my son at bedtime the voice is loud. If you prefer to use the programmed sounds just press the sound selection you would like. If you want to switch back to BT press "Audio Switch". The speaker gives a nice clear sound. Many small speakers will vibrate which makes a "buzzing" sound, but this one does not. There are many different light patterns, plus you can customize by turning on/off rotation and/or the aurora. The dome gives a soft blend of projected colors. To really fill the room with a light show, you can remove the dome. The lamp is very bright, so I am pleased it has the ability to dim with three brightness settings. Again, you can change the light patterns by pressing the power button on the lamp. You can only adjust the brightness, as well as, turn on/off the aurora and rotation from the remote control. Overall, this gives a beautiful light show that is very relaxing! My son has Autism and visual stimulation is something he craves. He absolutely loves the lamp! His favorite programmed sound is the thunderstorm. If he prefers music, I sync the lamp to my iPhone via Bluetooth and it remains connected without interference for about 25 feet. Bedtime I dim the lamp and set the timer for one hour. Once one hour has arrived the lamp will shut down completely and the BT is disconnected. Thanks for watching!
