As the number of passenger increased day by day, there were no other well convenient train present in between Kolkata and Chennai. This 22807/22808 Santragachi-Chennai Central superfast was very much needed to reduce the pressure from Coromandel Express and Chennai Mail, the two major and popular train in Howrah-Chennai route. Today it was its 1st run as a special. From 21st January, 2014 onward it will run regularly. Here beautifully decorated Santragachi WAP-4 locomotive was in charge with this brand new LHB Rake. Location: Kulgachia(39 km from HWH) along HWH-KGP section of South Eastern Railway.
