Scablands Scavenger's video: Benchmade Osborne 940 5 year review

@Benchmade Osborne 940 5 year review
Well a few people asked so here it is: Long term update on the Benchmade Osborne 940. I still carry it and like it for the same reasons I did when I bought it: nice length in both handle and blade in a slim and light package. The steel holds an edge well, the build quality has never been an issue for me. The downsides are cost and the edge will chip if too thin. I also had to upgrade my sharpening system a little. I do not think this is the " best " knife ever made, but it definitely has a following. It is light in the pocket and has a nice slim blade that works well for many fine tasks. Not having a big gaudy blade your co-workers might not piss themselves if you pull it out to open a coffee creamer in the break room. While it dosnt scream tactical I think you could do worse if you were pressed to use it in a last ditch defensive situation. As to the question of price, well we all have our own way of justifying how we spend our money so that is a matter of perspective, some people will scoff at spending money on a knife, tool or whatever and then go and drop $6 on a coffee..... every day of the week. To each there own I say.
