In this video I hope to shine a little light on something many people overlook when ordering axes online. I have had an empty box show up missing the axe, a lost axe and a couple damaged axes/sheathes in the past because most manufacturers ship their axes in bulk and leave final delivery up to retailers. The sad truth is most ( not all ) just chuck your new pride and joy in an over sized box with a few sheets of brown John Wayne T.P. and call it good. This leaves your new axe to tumble around, dinged handles, large chips in blades, cut sheathes, smashed rivets and larger axes can punch right through the end of most lightweight boxes ( like the ones A-zon loves using). I am ok with this on cheaper budget axes...but if I am shelling out on a premium axe of near heirloom quality, I want to be the one to put the first scuffs and dings in it myself. Anyway Its nice when you pay good money for something and it arrives at your door safe. This is especially true when the manufacturer shows enough pride in the item they created to make sure it gets to you in one piece !
