I want to see if I can Surpass my personal long range distance of 650 yard steel plate shooting with this rifle. If all the reviews I have seen are true it should be no problem if I can get myself back into shooting form. I need to sit down and put together a load and find a good place to sling lead later this summer as well. This video series is not really intended for seasoned shooters, but more for people maybe in the same position as myself, new to shooting or experienced shooters who are new to long range shooting and might want to get a taste for ringing steel without wringing out their wallets. Rifle specs are available on Rugers website, basics are 6.5 pounds bare bones, 22 inch medium contour threaded barrel, plastic stock, aluminum v block style bedding. My rifle as set up weighs in around 9.5 pounds, that includes scope, bipod, sling, and cheekrest/buttpouch.
