Total BS. FUN FACT: What I think you are referring to are documentary revenue stamps which were used to pay tax on financial transactions. Their use was discontinued in the early 1950s. They look like postage stamps but were not usable for postage; nor were postage stamps legal for paying documentary taxes. Many of the British colonies issued stamps that were valid for both tax and postal purposes, BUT the U. S. never did. IDIOT
