Join RV Falkor as we celebrate ROV SuBastian’s 400th dive, since its first dive in Guam in 2016. This is the eighth dive of the ‘Northern Depths of the Great Barrier Reef’ expedition. Today we are exploring the steep southern flank of Wishbone Reef, within the prominent Wreck Bay that lies offshore of Cape York Peninsula. The dive will investigate a series of pinnacles in about 500 m depth for evidence of ancient drowned reefs, then climb into the mesophotic depths of Wishbone Reef for corals and other marine life. https://schmidtocean.org/cruise/northern-depths-of-the-great-barrier-reef
