Schtang's video: Schtang and Dnlphlptt Studio Jam Session 10 12 17 Ft E2 ESX1 ESX2 NYX SUB37 Volca FM

Back for this second installment of my Studio Jams. This time I brought thru hardware obsessive and old school massive Dnlphlptt for some rinsy minimal Drum and Bass. This was our first time together making music, and there were definitely some very deep and spicy moments together with some lapses in concentration! But that's why these jams are great, less about serious and highly contrived performance and more about getting lost in the moment and just enjoying the music with mates! I thought it would be worth recording and uploading some of these sessions, warts and all - to showcase some of the great behind the scenes moments of the creative process. It’s also good to have a few longer compositions on my profile and to have something interesting to have on in the background too! Technical bits and blobs: In this video the Electribe 2 was the main brain and sequencer. It provided pads, hi hats, snares and other sounds. The E2 was used to sequence an arpeggio on the Volca Keys, some deep sub bass tones from the Sub37 and the bongos, tribal percussion and flute from the ESX1 throughout the jam. It also sent a pulse out via the Sync Out to the ES2. The ES2 was used for percussion, hats, shakers, incidental snares and claps, white noise and more as well as to sequence some extra terrestrial effects sounds from the Dreadbox Nyx, Waldorf Streichfett and the Volca FM. Everything was run through and mixed down in the Mackie 2404 VLZA. MIDI was sent via the the E2 through the Kenton Midi Thru 5 box
