I doubled my sleep for a week | how to improve sleep | how to fall asleep fast | doubling my sleep for a week Having always had sleep issues in the past and not understanding the importance of sleep, science of sleep and how to fall asleep fast through some proper pre bed routines and improving sleep hygiene, I decided that for 7 days yes, a week, i doubled my sleep for a week to see what happens and what effect getting good sleep actually has on my be it my energy, mood, hunger, metabolism etc. So yes, the reality is that I do actually only sleep 3-5hrs a night. I go to sleep far too late and wake up too early in relation to my sleep bed time and the result is such a short amount of sleep per day. Should you be doing that? Obviously not and if you’ve seen my previous video on sleep - https://youtu.be/-lcmpdto4-s you will understand why ie. The fact that insomnia and/or chronic sleep deprivation ultimately result in a plethora of negative health and performance consequences. So why do i do it? Well, my attitude towards it all has always been that, even with all of the latest research on the benefits of sleep, the science of sleep for health, sleep for building muscle, sleep for fat loss etc, at this point in my life I “feel” that I can just about “manage” such little sleep which, although not optimal, allows me allow me get more done throughout the day in taking a step closer to my goals. However, although i have improved how much i sleep recently sleep deprivation has definitely taken a toll hence I doubled my sleep for a week to see what happens and what effect getting good sleep actually has on my be it my energy, mood, hunger, metabolism etc. So, while I won’t go into all the details discussed in my previous video on sleep - https://youtu.be/-lcmpdto4-s Such as sleep science, sleeps impact on metabolism, how much sleep to build muscle, how much sleep for fat loss etc. In this vid, along with the week long 7 day sleep experiment where I doubled my sleep for a week, i do go i to loads of sleep tips and tricks each day of the sleep experiment which will hopefully help you improve your sleep if you suffer with insomnia or sleep deprivation and helps you learn how to fall asleep fast and how much sleep you actually need for health, performance etc. Anyway, i’ll let the video do the rest so sit back, relax and enjoy me taking you through a full week sleep experiment where I doubled my sleep for a week.
