Scott Walker's video: Toro Z Master 3000 52 Review

In this video I review my Toro Z Master 3000 Series 52" Mower. I purchased this mower at the beginning of 2016 and it has been a good mower over time. The cut quality is good along with the build quality. I have done some upgrades to the mower such as the Deluxe seat option which in my opinion is a necessity if you plan to spend any amount of time on a zero turn mower. I also purchased the bagging system after owning the mower for about a year. That was something that I did not know if I would use when I purchased the machine so I just bought it after the fact which was no big deal (other than the price). The reliability of the mower has been pretty good over time. I have not had to do much to it except maintenance until recently when I was having an issue with the engine. The first thing that happened was one of the coil packs went bad and that was causing one cylinder not to fire. Then after getting that fixed, the choke mechanism for the carburetor stopped working so the mower would not cold start with out that. Then when I took it in to get that fixed the mower shop looked it over and it needed a new engine. Something that was not in my plan since the mower had only 660 hours on it at the time. The cause of the problem was basically the bolts for the valve cover or head had backed off the block and then that caused it it mess the engine up. I was lucky that the mower was just under warranty and so the engine was covered. I was not too thrilled that the engine did not make it past 600 hours but I must have gotten a bad apple from the factory. So hopefully with the new engine I will be able to get many more years from the mower.
