Saving Wildcats's video: Scottish Wildcat Action - Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return of feral and obvious hybrid cats

Scottish Wildcat Action is a multi-partner conservation project to save the endangered Scottish wildcat. One of the main threats to the survival of this native species are our domestic cats, particularly those who live as wild animals, known as feral cats. Ferals not only pass on disease, like feline leukaemia and feline Aids, but they also dilute their gene pool by interbreeding with wildcats and producing hybrid offspring. Trap Neuter Vaccinate Return is one of the ways in which Scottish Wildcat Action is helping to protect the few wildcats that remain. In combination with conservation breeding of wildcats for later release into the wild and ongoing research, we hope to restore viable populations of Scottish wildcats to the Highlands again.
