Meet Big Mama, a rescued Loggerhead sea 🐢 that will be calling Turtle Reef home! Watch her rescue story and be sure to meet her in person at Turtle Reef. NOW OPEN! SeaWorld San Antonio's newest animal attraction, Turtle Reef, along with two new thrilling rides Riptide Rescue and Sea Swinger, will officially open. Turtle Reef is a fascinating new attraction that will enable guests to get an up-close look at endangered and rescued sea turtles. Plus, there are two thrilling new rides that will debut in the same area, Riptide Rescue and Sea Swinger. At Turtle Reef, guests can look into a 126,000 gallon habitat with floor-to-ceiling underwater viewing that will provide an immersive and educational look at the underwater world of threatened and endangered sea turtles and hundreds of multi-colored tropical fish. The habitat also features a unique natural bio-filtration process, the only one of its kind in a zoological setting in the United States. The thrills continue with Riptide Rescue, where guests will set out on their own sea turtle rescue mission aboard this classic exciting spinner ride. Completing the new attractions coming this Spring is Sea Swinger, a pendulum ride that will swing guests 180 degrees in both directions with amazing views of the park and a real thrill for all who ride.
