Sean Rubino's video: Mid Century Modern Walnut Nightstands Ep 69

@Mid Century Modern Walnut Nightstands // (Ep. 69)
In this video I show how I made a pair of matching nightstands that pair with the Mid Century Modern Platform Bed in the previous episode. The case construction is made of simple miter joints that are taped and pulled together. The grain of the walnut veneer was cut in a way to keep it flowing from the sides to the top. The drawer fronts were resawn from a single board to make a pair of book matched drawers. That method was also used to make the front leg stretchers. The backs were veneered with Walnut veneer and attached with screws. The whole thing was finished with 7 coats of wipe on polyurethane varnish, as seen in a previous episode as well.
