Ryan Murphy surprised fans last week when he revealed that a crossover season of Murder House (the franchise's first installment) and Coven (the third), something he'd teased as far back as 2016 with no concrete details in terms of a timeline, would, in fact, be this fall's eighth installment. "The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won't be happening next year...because it's happening THIS YEAR," Murphy shared on Twitter. "AHS WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER." Details have remained scarce, but over the weekend, Murphy and his former leading lady Emma Roberts (who earned a legion of fans as Coven's endlessly quotable Madison Montgomery) confirmed the actress would be back in action for season eight. Roberts shared a video on Instagram of herself in what appeared to be Madison's costume, delivering her iconic line, "Surprise, bitch. Bet you thought you'd seen the last of me." Which of the 8 other characters from Murder House and Coven are you most excited about returning? Let us know in the comments. 27 years after we last saw her in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, original franchise star actress Linda Hamilton has been photographed in character as Sarah Connor on the set of the upcoming Terminator sequel. Terminator 6 will be a direct sequel to Cameron’s 1991 classic Terminator 2: Judgment Day, with further plans to launch a new trilogy that will reinvent the franchise. Arnold Schwarzenegger also returns for the sixth franchise film, along with Canadian actress Mackenzie Davis, who will play our new heroine (latest photos here) form the set in Madrid, Spain. Gabriel Luna (“Agents of SHIELD”) will play a new Terminator, while Diego Boneta (“Scream Queens”) plays Dani’s brother. Terminator 6 is set for release by Paramount Pictures on November 22, 2019. Last month Fox cancelled their crime-fighting devil series Lucifer at the end of its third season, despite the fact that the show ranked in the top 10 for ratings on the network and showrunner Joe Henderson was so certain there would be a fourth season that season 3 ended with "a huge cliffhanger". Luckily, Lucifer was in a situation where (unlike, for example, Ash vs. Evil Dead) the show could be shopped around to other networks and streaming services, while "Lucifans" ran a "Save Lucifer" campaign that actually had a shot at working. And the "Save Lucifer" efforts have worked. A day before the options on the cast would have expired, Netflix came swooping in to keep the actors working on the show, closing a deal with Warner Bros. TV to release a fourth season through their streaming service. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox’s Lucifer just got a new lease on life courtesy of streaming giant Netflix. It is not clear when the series will return for a fourth season, or how many episodes it will consist of, but Lucifer fans can rest easy today, knowing that it will return soon. Lead actor Tom Ellis and creator Joe Henderson took to twitter to celebrate the news, thanking fans for helping save the series. Coming to us "from the twisted mind of celebrated auteur Bobcat Goldthwait", this series mashes up wildly different genres to tell suspenseful stories with funny, imaginative twists. Each distinct episode turns familiar tropes inside out to create a curated and eclectic collection of stories filled with equal parts nostalgia and modern satire. The first season is set to run for eight episodes, and guest stars in those episodes will include Michael Ian Black, Bridget Everett, Dave Foley, Seth Green, Melissa Joan Hart, David Koechner, and Danny Pudi. The trailer promises werewolves, mermaids, the devil, and - in an episode said to be a mix of Cape Fear and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - a homicidal cartoon bear. Bobcat Goldthwait's Misfits & Monsters premieres on truTV on July 11th.
