This is a truly impressive performance! Two voices and one acoustic guitar, totally unplugged in the 5000 capacity Hammersmith Apollo... and this is recorded from the back of the circle! Johanna and Klara have such powerful voices. Really quite breathtaking! Let's be clear about this. I'd seen First Aid Kit play Ghost Town unplugged once before, but that was in the 400 capacity Bush Hall back in 2011. This was in an entirely different league, and, frankly, sitting a few rows from the back of the circle, I didn't expect to be able to hear a thing when they unplugged and walked to the front of the stage. I certainly didn't expect it to sound like this! Quite stunning. Ghost Town originally appeared on First Aid Kit's debut album, 'The Big Black and the Blue' (2010).
