12-9-2020 As part of the 52nd birthday celebrations (thanks Cooties) for myself, we spent the afternoon at the famous hackspot that is 'John Hourigan Bridge' at Pitnacree (East Maitland). Named after Hunter railfan legend 'John Hourigan', the location is known for its constant stream of coal and passenger traffic, mixed with grain, ore, containers and any other guff left on the railways of 2020. Today we find all the coalies diverted onto the main as work was being carried out on the coal roads. This change from the normal makes all the the normal excitement, just that bit more thrilling.......possibly. Enjoy, hate, or be indifferent. That's up to you.
