#तुगलकवंश की नींव रखने वाले गाजी मलिक ने सत्ता में आने के बाद अपना नाम गयासुद्दीन तुगलक रख दिया | गयासुद्दीन तुगलक के पिता तुर्की और माँ हिन्दू थी | सत्ता में आने के बाद सबसे पहले उसने दिल्ली के पास दिल्ली सल्तनत को मंगोलों से सुरक्षित रखने के लिए तुगलकाबाद का निर्माण करवाया | इन सब से उपर उसने तुगलक दुर्ग को अपने सभी मलिक ,अमीरों और खिलजी वंश के मंत्रियों , जिन्होंने सत्ता में आने के लिए उसका साथ दिया , को सौंप दिया | उसने खिलजी के उत्तराधिकारी खुसरो खान का साथ देने वालो को सजा दी गयासुद्दीन तुगलक ने मुस्लिमो पर लगान दर कम कर दी लेकिन हिन्दुओ पर बढ़ा दी ताकि वो धन की कमी से विदोह न कर सके | 1321 में उसने अपने बड़े बेटे उलुग खान (मुहम्मद तुगलक ) को आरंगल और तिलंग के हिन्दू राजाओ को तबाह करने को भेजा | पहले प्रयास में तो वो असफल रहा लेकिन चार महीने बाद गयासुदीन ने भारी सेना के साथ एक बार फिर आरंगल भेजा | इस बार उलुग खान क सफलता मिली | आरंगल का पतन हुआ जिसका नाम बदलकर सुल्तानपुर कर दिया गया | वहा से सारी सम्पति लुटकर दिल्ली सल्तनत में लाई गयी | ************************************************************************************************************************* Gazi Malik, who laid the foundation of the Tughlaq dynasty, came to power after his name was given the name of Tajuddin Tuglak. In the first attempt, he failed, but after four months, Gasudin again sent the Aurangal with a heavy army. This time it was the success of Ulug Khan.
