@"Come in No. 51, You're Time is Up" - U.S. Soldier Returns Home in Flag Draped Coffin
This alternate take of "Careful with That Axe, Eugene” by the band Pink Floyd was chosen instead of an early version of their song "Us and Them" to be included for what was known as "The Violent Sequence” of the classic Antonioni film, "Zabriskie Point." I chose to use it in this video in order to help remind us all of our inter-connection along with senseless and needless death, loss, and madness, which accompany any war... anywhere, at any time, truly is. This video is meant to show the outcome of the madness of war and accurately expresses my outrage at the situation. I wish peace, good health, love and joy to us all! We are more than these mortal shells which contain our timeless energetic beings; ultimately we are all one, and our true essence is made up of light and love. I edited together this video was because personally, I’m sick and tired of all of the young men and women coming back home to the USA in caskets and in pieces (both mentally and physically) from a far off war over oil is happening somewhere in the Middle East. In my opinion, honest images like this should be on the local and international news every night 24 hours a day until it stops. I used video footage taken by a friend of mine on Facebook and music from Pink Floyd (my all-time favorite band) to express my feeling of helpless rage at the way the military and the mainstream media/T.V. news are purposely keeping images such as this from the eyes of the general public. This way, we won't be protesting in the streets like with Vietnam. This self-imposed ignorance must end, and end along with all of the killing of innocent people with missiles fired from afar on remotely piloted drones, which is just unfair and just plain evil. Where is the "Bravery of Being Out of Range"? In my opinion it's extremely important to put these scenes like this to the world and allow those with compassion in their hearts to respond appropriately in protest. We the people, of the USA aren't allowed to see our young soldiers returning home dead, maimed and mentally damaged in any number of ways on T.V. anymore. Nonetheless, these young men and women will be forced to endure during all of the hardships of wartime, including all of the mental anguishes which don't always show in the surface. Even the soldiers guiding drones in the Middle East from Nevada military bases that dropping "Hellfire Missiles" on innocent wedding parties in Afghanistan certainly must feel some psychological damage. That is, if we haven't trained them to be total sociopaths... which we do. However, I say that no matter the religion, skin color or culture, these are our fellow human beings that we’re killing and hurting... our fellow stardust brothers and sisters, being killed over oil! They're not “collateral damage” in a "War On Terror"! I've declared "War On War" on behalf of all of humankind in peaceful revolution. This music video is intended to express my personal rage at the U.S. military death machine in a non-violent way. No disrespect is intended, nor should any be inferred, toward the deceased soldier. ***"ATTENTION...FAIR USE"*** The material on this site is distributed without profit to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving the included information for research and educational purposes.
