Shadow Teck's video: CSS4: Does it Really Exist 2020 Update

CSS4 (Does it Really Exist?) Script (with timestamps) *Intro* 0:00 CSS4...A Chinese intercontinental ballistic missile, more commonly known as DF-5, but also as CSS-4. Whoever was naming the missile probably should had made sure that it wasn’t confused with a non-existent cascading style sheet known as CSS4. But yes you heard me right, CSS4 does not exist and if you have researched css4 at all then you would have already known this. It’s a fake hype for web developers to clickbait other developers. Anyways today I’m going to be going over what css4 is on technical terms and then I’ll move onto what it became in the web development community and what you need to know as a developer yourself. *What is CSS4?* 0:39 CSS4 is retrospect is just an updated version of CSS3, and even CSS3 isn’t a technical term for it either, it’s just CSS. However, it does introduce level 4 sectors and modules. Leveling up CSS as a whole would be hard to maintain and quite useless. Same as how CSS3 introduces level 3 sectors and modules. Anything with the name “CSS4” in it just means that it is a part of the level 4 features of css. Every version past CSS 2.1 is just known as CSS. But you may want to mention if you're using a version before CSS 2.1 because that would be severely outdated. *If it’s not real then why is there a bunch of hype?* 1:26 CSS4 became a sensation of clickbait on every single medium article and youtube video when it was first announced. Everything was still unclear but to them the number 4 was enough for them to monetize. Hence why this video is coming out a year and a half later only to educate the people who are concerned about css4 affecting their current development. *What you need to know* 2:41 Speaking about your development, it won’t actually affect it. Actually CSS4 can only help expand it. When css updates, they usually don’t take out a lot of stuff unless no one really used it (most of that was during the css 2.1 phase). If you go into css4 documentation you can actually learn the new pseudo tools and help test them. Some are already released while some stay in beta. I tried testing some myself but it's not exactly the most fun thing to do, but I guess that's just education in general. So in other words continue with your current developing and learning and just stay up to date about new sectors and modules. *Outro* 3:51 Thanks for watching another coding video guys.
