Serenity, (for sensitive skin) High Temperature HP, Glass Bowl - Formula by Valerie Mosher, April 4, 2017 - YOU MAY USE THIS FORMULA FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE HOWEVER THE FORMULA MAY NOT BE SOLD OR PRESENTED AS YOUR OWN! ALWAYS make sure you put through a Soap Calculator before using! I soaped this formula at 38% lye liquid and Super Fatted at 5% upfront and added 3% SF after the cook. Used Sodium Lactate at 5% of oils and I “did not” discount this amount from my lye liquid. I added the Sodium Lactate after the cook and at room temperature. I also used 1 tsp fine sea salt in the lye liquid and dissolved “before” adding the lye. This was a 1lb batch. --------- Formula for 1lb batch: Avocado Oil - 10% = 1.6 oz Castor Oil - 13% = 2.1 oz Coconut Oil (76 deg) - 15% = 2.4 oz Crisco new w/Palm - 7% = 1.1 oz Mango seed Butter - 9% = 1.45 oz Olive Oil (100% Pure) - 23% = 3.7 oz Palm Oil - 11% = 1.75 oz Shea Butter - 7% = 1.1 oz Soy bean, fully hydrogenated soy wax - 5% = 0.8 oz Lye Liquid amount = 6.25 oz (I rounded this up) Sodium Hydroxide (lye – NaOH) = 2.15 oz Total lye liquid = 6.1 oz (I rounded this UP to 6.25 of liquid) I used 3.5 oz of Calendula & Plantain tea (which I infused for 24 hours) for the lye. I used 1 oz oatmeal cooked/strained (stick blend into oils before lye), 1 oz avocado pureed with aloe vera juice (stick blend into oils before lye), and 0.75 to 1 oz coconut milk (added after cook). 1 tsp. White Kaolin Clay - I added this to my warm oils and stick blended before adding my lye liquid 3% more SuperFat after cook = 0.5 oz, I used Meadowfoam oil and Shea butter (you can use what you like) 2 Tbsp white sugar mixed with 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, dissolved and added hot after the cook 2 tsp. maple syrup mixed in with sugar liquid and added after the cook 1 Tbsp Greek Yogurt (cold or room temperature) (added after cook) 1 tsp. Tapioca powder mixed with 2 tsp cold water and added last, whisked really well (not heated) ---- This formula will give you numbers of 38 Hardness, 10 Cleansing, 59 Conditioning, 22 Bubbly, 39 Creaminess, 63 Iodine, and INS of 138. This is a super nice formula for sensitive skin (low cleansing & high conditioning with great for the skin ingredients), OR you could make 100% Olive oil soap, “Castile”, which is as easy on the skin as you can get.  This was done at “high temperature” in a glass bowl, covered with plastic wrap. You can do this low temperature in a crock pot, in the microwave, in the oven or on top of the stove, whichever way you prefer. When the batter is at Vaseline stage check your PH (should be 10) OR check for zap. Pour into molds or design as you wish. Hope you enjoy, subscribe and comment!
