For Australian high school teachers, Asian art is now a compulsory part of the new curriculum. Learn about Asian art at the Arma Museum which has an excellent collection of both traditional and contemporary Balinese art and is onsite at our accommodation with free entry to workshop participants. Shana has experience upskilling teachers in various art processes. This workshop is also a chance for teachers to immerse themselves in making and reconnect to their own artistic practise. This is a very hands on workshop, building skills in a practice led way; with participants being allowed the time and space to create. Course includes adding colour with chine collé, a versatile way to add colour to linocuts: effective and much less time consuming than other methods of adding colour.
