Part of the Creators For Change movement: http://www.ShapeHistory.com SOCIAL MEDIA: TWITTER: https://twitter.com/shapehistory FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/shapehistory Hosted by: Mike Buonaiuto *Syrian Harissi Semolina cake: Recipe* *Ingrédients* 2tps tahini 500 g semolina 200 g golden caster sugar 2 pot of yogurt 2 tp bicarbonate of soda 2 tbp of roasted pine kernels 1/2 tbp peel pistachio 70 g unsalted butter *For the syrup:* 250 g golden caster sugar 2 tbp lemon juice 1 tp orange blossom water 20 cl water *Method:* Pre heat the oven to 170c Grease a brownie tray with butter and Tahini . Mix the semolina, sugar, bicarbonate of soda, melted butter and the yogurt together. Press down the prepared tray and leave to rest cover with a damp cloth for 2hours at room temperature. Mark the cake in small square or diamond shape using the back of a knife .bake for 25mn . In the meantime roast in a frying pan the kernels and almond. To make the syrup : take the juice , water and sugar to the boil then add the orange blossom water. Heat up till it thicken nicely. Pour the hot syrup all other the cake straight out of the oven and sprinkle the roasted kernels and nuts. Leave to set and cool down before cutting .
