Sharon Noelle's video: Reverse Blending Eyeshadow Techniques vs Regular Blending Techniques LIFE CHANGING

In this video I'm comparing the reverse blending eyeshadow technique vs regular eyeshadow blending techniques. For the past 6 years since I've started getting into makeup, it's been ingrained into my brain from learning off YouTube and makeup artists that we have to blend with the lightest shades (transition) to the darkest shades! I've been watching a lot of other artists on YouTube and Instagram and I've noticed that recently in the past couple of years or so, that there has been a new way of blending which is dark to light! I tried searching videos on this particular technique and could only find a few. I still have a LONG way to go and I'm in no way trying to compare my level of makeup skills with the artists mentioned (I'm just a makeup enthusiast!) Also - I did use concealer on the reverse blending eyeshadow eye, and used regular mac ochre paint point as a primer on the regular eyeshadow. The reason why I do this, is because I've found within the past couple of years, there has been more of a trend on YouTube or instagram (this is what I've been exposed to personally - I know it may not apply), to use concealer or concealer-like bases such as the Plouise base. This differs from when I started learning how to do makeup about 6 years ago and back then I was always taught on Youtube to use eye primers (Mac Soft Ochre Paint Point was also Nikkie Tutorial's fave eye primer for yearss). Hence I have taken this into account with the new IG style of makeup vs the old "simpler" way on Youtube. This could have affected my results on how the blending worked - but generally, it does seem to be a general consensus that the reverse blending technique really does allow for better pigment Sorry for the long essay on this lol!
