I’ve heard way too many stories of people failing because they don’t know the pitfalls, they don’t do their research, and they just don’t know what they’re doing!⁣ ⁣ My advice is to make sure you have a contractor lined up to do the work before you look at houses. ⁣ ⁣ Take your contractor with you so that they can look at the house and give you a ballpark estimate. They will also be able to spot any pitfalls.⁣ ⁣ Just because you think you can do certain things to at home, doesn’t mean you really can. Experienced contractors will know what you can get away with. They also know how to get the permits to do the work.⁣ ⁣ Have your contractor and take them with you before you buy.⁣ ⁣
