"The Open Deployment" is an East German military song first written as "Der Heimliche Aufmarsch" (the Secret Deployment) in 1930 by Erich Weinert and Wladimir Vogel. The original 1930 lyrics come from a poem of the same name and speak of opposition to the German fascists and their outcries for war, extermination and total enslavement of the proletariat. In 1957 it was rewritten with the new name, "Der Offene Aufmarsch" (the Open Deployment), about the Cold War and the threat to the people caused by the NATO empire led by the United States and their lust for blood, profits, and total destruction of all those who stand in the way of their sinister ambitions.
