@Kongresi i 8-të i BRPSH: Kënga E Kaqanikut - 8th Congress Of The BRPSH: Song Of Kaqanik
"Song of Kaqanik" is an Albanian patriotic song, supposedly dating back to 1800s Albania, recalling a heroic battle between the Albanian people led by Skanderberg (an ancient Albanian military leader), and the Ottomans. During the communist-era, the song saw popularity again as the Albanian people rallied themselves to fight off the NATO reactionaries and the social-imperialist revisionists of Yugoslavia, the Soviet Union and China, if they ever invaded, drawing similarities between the Albanian people's struggle against the Ottoman Empire and their struggle against the forces of modern imperialism and revisionism. This performance was taken from an Albanian documentary about the 8th Congress Of The BRPSH (Labour Youth Union of Albania), the Albanian equivalent to the Pioneers seen in other eastern bloc countries. At this congress, attended by Albanian Marxist-Leninist revolutionary hero and leader, Enver Hoxha, he was given by the Pioneers an honorary Pioneer red scarf and later gave an address to the young Pioneers regarding current affairs and the importance of the struggle against revisionism, and the need to always be ready to fend off imperialists and enemies of the people, when or wherever they may arise.
