Pinu even tries to buy a new pair for his sister by accepting a secret assignment which leads him into criminal territory. When it renders fruitless, he participates in an interschool marathon where one of the prizes is a new pair of sneakers. But shoes don't come easy for down and out kids growing up in the backwaters of terror-infested India.
