I start back workout from heavy bent over rowing.Heavy bent over rowing make my back thick.I don't heavy deadlift because I do heavy bent over rowing recently. I do dumbbell deadlift with light weight dumbbells in last. When you gradually increase the weighthandled rny bent over row, it make thicker back easily.
