She is best known for her work as a professional dancer and international heels instructor. Shirlene's dance career began at 18 years old, when she danced as one of the original "uhh ohh girls" on Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" music video. The next day she found herself traveling the world with Beyonce promoting her first album "Crazy In Love", on television, and arenas world wide. She has performed around the world touring with some of the biggest stars of our generation, dancing on television, commercial, film, and Music videos with artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Missy Elliot, Jamie Foxx, Chris Brown, Destiny's Child, Mary J Blige, Ray J, PorcelainBlack, Lil Romeo, Ashanti, Fantasia, Jaheim, Jasmine Sullivan, Spencer Ludwig, Mohombi and many more. You may have seen Shirlene performing on many award shows in America and overseas, such as The Grammy's, VMA's, Teen Choice Awards, BET Awards, BET Black Girls Rock, Essence Awards, Fashion Rocks, NRJ awards, VMA Japan, ESPY Awards, Soul Train awards, and much more. As well as television and Talk shows like, All My Children, Diva's Live, America's Got Talent, Oprah, The View, Top of the Pops, Jimmy Kimmel Live, TRL, Craig Fergeson, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, and a national super bowl commercial for Pepsi. This being a partial list, of her blessed career, in the commercial world of dance. While on a break from touring, she wanted to practice her dance moves, and realized none of the commercial dance studios held high heel dance classes. She found it necessary for all female dancers to learn and/or practice in their heels, since this is a requirement for every female in the dance industry. She then decided that she would be the one to make this happen. With her knowledge and extensive experience, Shirlene began the first weekly heels class at world famous Millennium Dance Complex, in her hometown of Los Angeles. She has now brought it to New york City, teaching at Broadway Dance Center, Ailey Extension and Peridance. Along with teaching at workshops around the world, in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Central America, Canada, and the Middle East. After teaching around the world, Shirlene was inspired to do even more. She then decided to create New York City's first high heel dance Crew "Queendom", which has been featured on social media platform, DanceOn, including their debut Youtube video "Mi Gente", with over one million hit views. Shirlene's choreography for Queendom, got the attention of music video director, Gerard Victor, and landed her choreography/dancer role in, Fabolous 2018 hit single, "Flipmode", music video, featuring Chris Brown. She has also coached and choreographed Latin artists, Lisenny "Bad to Buena" , Loli Blanco, and Vanessa Verduga. As well, as coaching R&B/Pop girl group, Rawyals, and co-choreographing there hit single "King Me", featuring Fetty Wap. You may have also recently seen her on hit television show "Bring It", as a guest choreographer and judge. With more creativity, knowledge, and experience, she plans to step more in choreography, coaching, and creative direction. This dancer, teacher, choreographer is more then just moves, she is also a professional actress. Moving to New York City, reconnected Shirlene to her acting roots, from her studies at the Gloria Gofford Conservatory Of Performing Arts. Landing four plays, including her equity off-broadway debut of, "In the Wine Time" as the lead actress,"Lou". A Woodie King Jr, Federal Theater production in association with Castillo Theater. More then anything, Shirlene wants to use her experiences and successes to be a testimony for this generation world wide. Being a woman of God and a leader in the entertainment industry, she hopes to use the gifts God has given her to inspire, motivate, and build other great leaders to step into destiny.
