You may look at a stage and think it looks simple but you must look very closely as there's is always a twist or advantage that can be taken if you walk through the stage carefully and do a good analysis of it. Not recognizing the "twist" or advantage could cost you big points and if you do see the "twist" and / or advantage you could reward you in saving time and reducing your movement which results in additional points. I enjoyed Day 2, even with the three misses and 2 penalty target hits. Sure I could have done without them but I am only to blame as in most cases, I was pushing myself to hard. Mistakes start to happen when you push too hard. There is minimal time for a walk throughs with 16 competitors on a Squad. You will get one walk through and if you're really lucky, you get half way through a second look at the stage. This can be frustrating. The mental game is a big part of our sport as with any sport. You have to learn not to allow issues like this to weigh on your mind but rather focus at what you must do....create the best possible plan of attack. Walking across the stage from behind so you can see the various angles from where targets can best be engaged from is what you need to do when your walk through was insufficient. I actually didn't get a walk-through on two of the stages. That was very frustrating....as I said the mental game comes into play in situations like that. Well, as I said, there is nothing easy about the World Shoot. It's a great experience to compete at this level and I'll do my best to learn for my experience at the 2017 World Shoot. I have two more days of shooting...12 remaining stages. I do have one functional problem with my gun which has caused me to have about four light primer strikes. My hammer spring is too weak. I've spoken with the Tanfoglio folks who are here and they are going to correct the issue for me. I truly appreciate their willingness to help out all Tanfoglio shooters at the World Shoot and more importantly for being the Match Sponsor!!
