Shop Nation's video: DIY Overhead Garage Shop Storage Quick Shop Organization

In this video I add some quick and easy overhead storage to my garage shop. Since recently becoming a dad I've found that time is short and I wanted to make some quick headway in my shop. Both storage solutions featured can be easy wins in any shop or garage, especially if time is limited! The first solution is a row of clear containers with big labels, like the "wall-o-boxes" featured in the Mythbusters shop. I've always liked that concept and wanted to incorporate it into my shop. These bins allow me to store my less-often used supplies up and out of the way. The clear containers make seeing what I've got very easy. I chose to add them above my ultimate cabinets, but you could easily add a simple shelf to accomplish the same thing. The second solution is a lumber rack. I've been needing to address my growing scrap wood pile and this is the perfect opportunity. The rack I'm using is a Bora Portamate which I bought off of Amazon (linked below). These racks come in multiple sizes to fit your particular space. I have a very narrow space above my door and their 4-tier rack fit perfect. This lumber rack now keeps all of my thin long boards up off the floor - and looks great too!
