TV Part Types: LED Light Strip LG TV Models: 39LN5300-UB BUSJLWM 39LN5700-UH AUSJLJM 39LN5700-UH AUSDLJM 39LN549E-UA BUSJLJR In this video we will show to replace the LED strips in certain LG TVs. it is recommended to take pictures during the repair process to use as a reference point. Be sure that your TV is unplugged. Remove the screws and the back cover off the TV. Disconnect the ribbon cables from the scan drive boards. Disconnect and remove the IR sensor from the chassis. Pry the bezel from the chassis and remove it. Remove the screws and panel frame from around the TV. Release the scan drive boards. Gently flip them up and tape them to the panel. Using suction cups lift and remove the panel from the chassis. Release and remove the filter frame around the chassis. Tape the corners on the layers of diffusion to keep them together. Then remove the layers of diffusion from the chassis. Remove the tabs that hold the reflector sheet to the chassis. You may need to remove the screws and boards from the chassis to access some clips that are hidden underneath the boards. Lift and remove the reflector sheet. The TV we are using is a tester, so we are actually missing one set of LED strips in the video. Disconnect the power cables on the LED strips and remove the LED strips from the chassis. After you have removed all of the strips, take the replacement strips and align them on the chassis. Reinstall the reflector sheet and the tabs that hold it in place. Reinstall the layers of diffusion and remove the tape in the corners. Reinstall the filter frame. Reinstall the TV panel and remove the suction cups. Release the scan drive boards and re-align them in the clips. Reinstall the panel frame and screws around the TV. Reconnect the t-con board to the scan drive boards. Reinstall the bezel. Reinstall the IR sensor on the chassis. Reinstall the back cover and the screws. TV Repair Made Easy™ © 2017 ShopJimmy.com, LLC.
