Best breakfast in Lima?! 🥐 It’s my first full day in Lima and my first meal to kickstart my travels around Peru before meeting my Intrepid group (my @intrepidtravel Inca Trail and Amazon Adventure tour starts later this week!!!) Demo is supposedly one of THE best breakfast spots and bakeries in Lima (according to my foodie friend @heyrozzlee and I trust her recommendations with my whole heart and tummy). It’s an all day bakery that combines influences from Venezuela and Peru by Venezuelan chef Juan Luis Martinez. Demo is known for their pastries, arepa benedict and speciality coffee so let’s see how it tastes! WHAT I ORDERED: • Cruffin de Flan £3.10 • ⁠Tequeños y guasacaca £6.40 • ⁠Alfajores £4.13 • ⁠Arepa Alpatada £8.88 • ⁠Kalita Pour Over £4.54 • ⁠Chocolate Caliente £2.89 Walked it off with a stroll around the Indian Market in Miraflores too - said to be the biggest handicraft complex in the country and a place to find lots of artisanal goods and souvenirs including this store (@valichaevanan) that sold the traditional Tablas de Sarhua — ancestral art painted on two logs using natural pigments from the mountains and earth. I loved them! 🇵🇪 🇵🇪 🥞 🧳 ✈️
