Shu's video: I lost my passport 2 weeks before flying to Asia

I lost my passport before a work trip abroad 😭 I lost my passport two weeks before an important work trip to Asia. This was the biggest travel mistake I’ve ever done. On the day it happened, I immediately declared it as lost/stolen online, emailed my travel clients about upcoming trips and tried to secure the quickest and closest appointment for a 7 day fast-track replacement at the passport office. I swear it was harder to get than Taylor Swift tickets. I was refreshing my phone and laptop every 15 seconds - JUMPING on any appointments available - making emergency plans to travel to then Glasgow or Belfast office when finally, the Passport Deities took pity and granted me a 9am appointment at Peterborough a few days later. HALLELUJAH. Within a day, I had to take new passport photos, complete a paper application from the Post Office, gathered every original document under the sun then met my goddess of a best friend to be my counter-signature. A 7am train to Peterborough later, it all went through and I got my new passport 5 days later! And now… after a 13 and a half hour flight from London Heathrow… I’m in Singapore, baby!!! I’m filming a 5 part series here for Andaz hotels @andazsingapore here with my good friend Chelsea from @cheapholidayexp. We can’t say too much before the launch but we’re working with a Singaporean production company, a crew of nearly 30 people and will be shooting around this beautiful destination. I’m so happy to be back, ecstatic to be working with Andaz and can’t wait to share behind-the-scenes before it all goes live! It’s one of my favourite places in the world and I am READY TO EAT.
