Simon A.C. Martin's video: Training: London Marathon Campaign Video

@Training: London Marathon Campaign Video
A new challenge for 2017 - my greatest challenge in my life. Running the London Marathon. But it's not just about the 26 miles of road I have to face: there's an even greater challenge. Supporting a cause I believe in and helping them raise the funds they need to keep on doing the amazing work they do. My chosen charity for my London Marathon entry is Leonard Chesire Disability. https://www.leonardcheshire.org They work for a society in which every person is equally valued. We believe disabled people should have the freedom to live their lives the way they choose. To have the opportunity and support to live independently, to contribute and participate fully in society. That belief is at the heart of everything they do. For over 65 years, they have supported disabled people in many different ways, to reflect what they tell us they want. They make a difference to the lives of thousands of people by supporting them to develop skills through employment, volunteering and digital inclusion projects. This is a cause I am hugely passionate about. Friends of mine growing up had their own challenges to face, and it was through charities such as Leonard Chesire Disability that they were able to lead the kind of ordinary lives that we take for granted sometimes. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. There are additional ways to sponsor me, as listed below: Anyone who donates £10 will be added to the list of names on the back of my training shirts from 23 January 2017. Anyone who donates £25 will have their name on the front of my training shirts in a space below my kit sponsors. I am looking for kit sponsors in the form of businesses from the local area and in London to donate £50 or £100 towards my £2000 total. Their logos will be added to the front of my training shirts and their names and website addresses will be included in all my YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Blogger activity in updates given weekly from 22 February 2017 in the countdown to the London Marathon £50 will give a small logo, £100 a larger one. I am looking for 20 £50 donations and 10 £100 donations. The logos will be printed in black on my flourescent yellow training kit, and they will be seen by people all over the London area as I continue my training. The kit will be in use from 22 February 2017 to 22 April 2017. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations. http://m.virginmoneygiving.com/mt/uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=SimonACMartin&un_jtt_redirect=un_jtt_iosV http://www.britishrailwaystories.com/ The contents of these videos, including all text and photos (except where credited otherwise) are ©The British Railway Stories & Simon A.C.
