Hey . As you all know, my love towards music and cooking is extraordinary. Both music and cooking go hand in hand for me. Being a graduate from Le Cordon Bleu, I have always wanted to venture more in the culinary field as well. So finally, my dream of doing music and culinary arts is coming into reality. Presenting to you all, my first cooking video. I hope you all like it! PAD WOON SEN - Is known for being an easy to dish to cook and is one of the most popular Thai dishes. Give it a try and cook it at home. Let me know how you all liked this recipe in the comments section. Serving : 4 Ingredients 200 grams - Glass Noodles (Woon Sen) 200 grams - Soft Tofu 200 grams - Cabbages 2 Tablespoons - Oil 1 Teaspoon Chopped Garlic 1 Tablespoon - Mushroom Sauce 1/2 Tablespoon - Light Soya Sauce 1/2 Teaspoon Dark Soya Sauce 2 Tablespoons - Water 1/2 Teaspoon - Pounded Thai Red Chillies / Green Chillies. Garnishing : 4 Cut Red Chillies Coriander Method : 1. Soak 200 grams of glass noodles for 30 minutes and drain it completely. After draining it, cut the glass noodles into two halves using a scissor or a knife. 2. While the glass noodles are being soaked, cut the tofu into small little cubes. *Purchase Morinaga Silken Tofu - Firm or Extra Firm or any tofu from the market. Just remember that it shouldn’t be too hard as it may not taste good. 3. Make sure the work is heated before you add the oil. Add 1.5 Tablespoon of oil into the wok and then add 1 teaspoon of chopped garlic. Be sure to cook the garlic until it turns golden or brown. 4. Once the garlic is golden or brown, simply add the 200 grams of tofu and saute it. 5. Saute the tofu till it turns golden, and then add 200 grams of cabbages into the wok. Make sure to not overcook the cabbages as the texture desired would be crispy along with the glass noodles. 6. Once the cabbages are cooked, add the glass noodles to the wok. Mix the sauces together in the bowl. This can be done prior in the preparation step before adding everything to the wok or simply keep it to a low flame and mix it during that time. 7. Mix the mushroom sauce, light soya sauce, and dark soya sauce in the bowl and be sure to get a good color as the noodles won’t look bland. 8. Keep the flame high and mix the noodles well with the sauces. Add 2 tablespoons of water to keep the noodles moist and add half tablespoon of oil depending on how you like the noodles to be moist. The oil just helps prevent the noodles from sticking together. 9. It depends on your taste whether or not you would want to add chillies. Chillies is in the last step where you can simply add 1/2 teaspoon of red chillies or if you have green chillies, that also works well. 10. Ta-da!
