Sinama's video: Timelapse of a Rainbow disappearing over Sarangani Bay

Timelapse taken from a Sama community at the mouth of the Sarangani bay. Sama folklore tells of heavenly maidens (biraddali) that fly down to earth to bath leaving the trail of the rainbow (salindugu') behind them. They must take off their wings in order to bath. If you look closely in the video you will find that these biraddali are bathing at Pacquiao Beach. Also viewable in the video are the fishing boats of the Sama and other fishermen with long trawl nets on top. You can see the buoys of the permanent fish traps used to catch tuna in the background. It was the opportunity to catch large quantity of Tuna that led to the migration of the Sama to this area in the early 1960s. Song used in the background is Biraddali by Den Bisa, a Sama artist.
