Janice Rose Marie Kowch, 59, of Calgary, Alberta. passed away on June 18th, 2021 in Calgary, Alberta. Janice was born in Thunderbay, Ontario on June 20, 1961. She went to high school at St. Francis and graduated in 1979. She went on to earn a degree in Bachelor of Laws from University of Calgary. She worked as a corporate lawyer for ProGas Limited and BP Houston and recently for Alberta Ministry of Human Services – Appeal Panel Member. Community involvement at the Calgary Zoo and Calgary Big Sisters & Brothers. Janice is survived by her mother Rose of Calgary, her brother Eugene of Vancouver, sister Ramona of Red Deer, brother Randy of Phoenix and brother Ron of Calgary, nieces/nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father Russell. Funeral service was held at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday, June 24th, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Michael Bombak officiating. Burial followed at Eden Brook Cemetery.
