Violin duo Miolina presents “Timber/Timbre,” a concert inspired by the trees that make-up our homes, schools, and businesses. Wood was one of humanity’s first building materials, and today it’s used in a new form, called Mass Timber, to build skyscrapers around the world. Miolina presented compositions that explored the nature of wood in connection with our exhibition TALL TIMBER: The Future of Cities in Wood! Miolina presented works by Dan Cooper, Dorothee Eberhardt, Mauro Godoy Villalobos, Jesse Jones, Sunny Knable, and Jessie Montgomery. This concert was funded with support from NYSCA.
