It might be because I am suffering from lock down cabin fever that I felt I wanted to do something a little 'off beam' with a melody that I have always really loved. It seems to me to have that wistful: "I want to be somewhere else" quality all on its own - even without the lyrics. I thought that putting it on a six string bass (a Fender Squire Bass Six), might be interesting and maybe even add to the "somewhere else" vibe! In any event I find it's a lot fun to finger-pick a six string bass. I hope that you like the result. The initial arrangement, (though I have strayed a little from it no doubt), was for an acoustic guitar version by a wonderful guitarist called: Michael Enz, who has a great Youtube channel under the name of CrawfishParish - check it out.
