Two nice things in one day yesterday. This lovely review of my Native American Flute CD: "Five Moods of a Canyon", see below, and a promo video of my upcoming talk with wonderful guitarist Clive Mills, at Bath Royal Scientific and Literary Institution on Native American Flute - see the video below. “Dave Merrick is a jazz guitarist in a duo called ‘Small Days’ and also writes his own material, but this offering is a departure from that genre of music albeit original material. This CD is eight tracks of Native American flute music. It is a mix of guitar and flute for the most part, that produces a very haunting, atmospheric and expansive sound which will transport the listener to the great plains of America. It is definitely a CD worth listening to, apart from conjuring up various images it will provide you with inner stillness. Dave was honoured in 2020 and 2021 to receive an award from the Native American Style Flute Awards Organisation for his work with the Native American Flute.
