"Thor: The Dark World" (or Thor 2) opens November 8th, 2013 is set one year after the events in "The Avengers" and is the second installment in the franchise. Synopsis: The Nine Realms are threatened by an age old alien race led by Malekith, an enemy that even Odin cannot overcome. To save the realms, Thor reunites with Jane Foster to set out on a journey that might force him to make the ultimate sacrifice. The film stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, and Kat "What's Meow Meow" Dennings. The trailer looks great but here's something for the hardcore fans: if you look around the web for plot summaries you might find many of them are referring to Malekith's alien race as an alien enemy older than the universe itself. How can someone be your enemy before you come into existence? I guess that is nemeses roll in the Marvelverse.
