SocraTetris's video: Teaching Happiness Economics

@Teaching Happiness Economics
A point that I don't think I made terribly clear in this video is that, while I bring up consistencies in mental health struggles, behaviors, and beliefs ultra-wealthy people in societies (like money-centric paranoia about friends and family), those negative actions/behaviors by such people is not caused by mental health struggles. Nor does mental health challenges mean any sort of moral failing. Instead, I was trying to emphasize that the beliefs/behaviors of philanthropists seeing themselves as saviors/profiting off of philanthropy may stem of this classist, upward social comparison. An alternative competition metric because they cannot hope to surpass the exponentially wealthier people above the ultra-wealthy class with profit alone. The wealth competition is the cause, not, for example, narcisism that is justified through that wealth. Thus, there is no incentive to meaningfully fund practical solutions to social problems. Because there is a lack of downward comparison.
