The Massachusetts legislature has stalled on negotiations to lift the Commonwealth's Net Metering Cap for over a year. As a result, 551 solar projects are in limbo while lawmakers put forth a lift on the caps. These projects account for nearly $618 million in investment and more than 241 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. According to an additional analysis by Vote Solar, the current net metering cap is costing cities and towns across Massachusetts more than $3.2 million in annual tax revenues.
