Recalling a few small moments abroad when I ventured there one summer for HK Fashion Week. The Highlight of the trip was seeing the Tian Tan Buddha (Traditional Chinese: 天壇大佛; Simplified Chinese: 天坛大佛; Pinyin: Tiān Tán Dà Fó). It is a large bronze statue, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong. Also known as the "Big Buddha". The statue is located near Po Lin Monastery. It symbolizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion. Interesting enough, it was there where I was given a very good fortune, "Fortune of the Sword".
