Moments from the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk (October 5th, 2008). Mayor of the City of Los Angeles kicks off Opening Ceremonies, along with KTLA's Steve Edwards, celebrities, and honorary chairs. People of all ages (and even their pets!) hit the streets of downtown LA for a 5K walk. After the walk, there was prizes, great entertainment, food, fun, and a wonderful from the heart "Finish" speech by TV host Leeza Gibbons. Together, the people in LA raised quite a bit of money (recent update 10/18/08: $600,000 and counting) in this walk to go towards Alzheimer's care, support, and research. A lot of love given to those in need from the City of Angels.
