This is the video about 108 Shiv Mandir Kalna. It is also known as Nava Kailash temples. Kalna 108 Shiva Temple is located at Ambika Kalna or Kalna in East Burdwan district of West Bengal, India. Temples are built in such a way that they have a unique numerical combination. The temples are built in two concentric circles centered around a well in the center. There are 74 temples in the outer circle and 34 in the inner circle. The temple was then built by Maharaja Tej Chandra Bahadur in 1809 AD. Here in the outer circle are the Shiva temples which have black and white Shiva Lingas respectively. And the temples in the inner circle have all white Shiva lingams. This temple is also known as Navaratna. The white Shiva Linga stands for the calm and peaceful form of Shiva and the black Shiva Linga is the Rudra or angry form of Lord Shiva. Entry Fee: To enter here, you need to buy a ticket for Rupees 25! If you have this ticket, you don't have to take another ticket at the time of entering the Rajbari area! How to reach here: From Howrah or Sealdah station take Katwa local to Ambika Kalna station. After that, rent a car or auto from there and explore all the temples! From places like Krishnanagar, Katwa, Hooghly, Pandua, Bainchi, Memari and Bardhaman, you can reach Katwa by bus and do the same sightseeing from there.
